The Essence of Reiki
Reiki alchemizes anyone who receives and channels it. As pure light and love, it heals on all levels and shifts energy for the highest good of the client and the practitioner. In addition, Reiki is the conduit for raising the energetic frequency, allowing the subconscious to be made conscious; this supports the transformation of limiting beliefs, which results in empowerment.
The positive, healthy traits Reiki is capable of developing within us include patience, love of self and others, and non-competitiveness. It can move us into a place of acceptance of other’ ideas and beliefs, and can help us to be non-judgmental. It can empower our ability to forgive, develop gratitude for friends and family, and for all we have and experience. Reiki improves the quality of joy and peace we feel, and most importantly, it increases our connection to the Source of Reiki, so that an ever stronger feeling of safety develops as Reiki more easily guides our lives.
Reiki Attunement (Placement)
Reiki is not taught in the way other healing techniques are taught. The ability to channel Reiki energy is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement process. During attunement, the Reiki or spiritual consciousness makes adjustments in the student’s chakras and energy pathways and also in deeper parts of one’s consciousness to accommodate the ability to channel Reiki energy; it then links the student to the Reiki source. These changes are unique for each person. The Reiki Master does not direct the process and is simply a channel for the attunement energy flowing from spiritual consciousness. The Reiki attunement is a powerful spiritual experience and is the most important part of a Reiki class.
What is Holy Fire® Reiki?
A New Reiki Energy
Holy Fire® Reiki is a new form of Reiki that was introduced in 2014 by William Lee Rand *, the founder and president of the International Center for Reiki Training and The Reiki Membership Association. It is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance.
Holy Fire® energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness. Some of the qualities of Holy Fire® Reiki students have experienced include:
- Heals deeply and quickly without distress.
- Heals relationships and interactions with others.
- Releases worry and replaces it with a sense of safety in a most pronounced way.
- Tends to develop all the personality traits that are healthy for a person to have such as love of self and others, kindness, patience, confidence, vitality, enthusiasm, optimism, trust, joy, peace and so forth.
- One of the more wonderful effects is a feeling of being loved. This is a deep and refined feeling that is very nurturing.
- Once received, it continues to develop itself to be more evolved and effective.

*Wiliam Lee Rand is my Holy Fire Reiki Master teacher. He has taught Reiki full time in the U.S. and in countries all over the world. In 1989 he developed the Usui/Tibetan style of Reiki, in 1995 he developed Karuna Reiki, and in 2014 he introduced Holy Fire® Reiki which was upgraded to Holy Fire® III in September 2018. He is the founder and president of the International Center for Reiki Training and The Reiki Membership Association, founder of the Center for Reiki Research and is the publisher of the Reiki News Magazine.

Private Attunment/Placement session is available if the class time doesn’t fit into your schedule. We will spend two to three hours together, you will receive the attunement as well as learning relevant Reiki healing hand positions and symbols. And you can review the class by joining the group training class in the future.

Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki Level I Training (In person)
Next Reiki Level I class is scheduled on May 4th (Saturday) from 10:30am to 4:30pm.You will receive Reiki I Placement (attunement) during the class and a Holy Fire Reiki Level I certification after completion. This class will enable you to use Reiki energy for self-healing and healings for your friends, family members, pets and loved ones. The tuition is $275. Class fee includes the approved 190-page training manual from the ICRT (International Center for Reiki Training) and a Certificate. Registration is required at least 7 days before the class so you have enough time to read the training manual and prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for the Ignition. We recommend eating healthier diet and getting plenty of rest (sleep) at least 5 days before your training date.
In Level I class, the student is given a Usui/Holy Fire® level I Placement which opens the student to channeling the Reiki energy to self and others. The student will also learn the following:
- The Principles of Reiki
- The history of Reiki
- The evolution of Reiki and introduction of the Holy Fire
- How Reiki is used to heal
- Self-healing techniques
- Practice in giving a full Reiki treatment
Preparing for a Reiki Attunement (Placement)
A Reiki Attunement, Placement or Ignition is a process of empowerment that connects you to the unlimited source of Reiki energy. During this process, and for a time after, changes will be made by the experience to enable you to channel Reiki. These changes take place metaphysically in your energy system and also in the physical body. An emotional as well as a physical toxic release can sometimes take place as part of this clearing process.
In order to improve the results you receive during this experience, a process of purification is recommended. This will allow the energies to work more efficiently and create greater benefits for you. The following steps are optional. Follow them if you feel guided to do so.
- Refrain from eating meat (or cut back) for three days prior to the Reiki class. These foods often contain drugs and toxins that make your system sluggish and throw it out of balance.
- Minimize your use of coffee and caffeine drinks. They create imbalances in the nervous and endocrine systems. Use no caffeine drinks on class days.
- Use no alcohol for at least three days prior to the Reiki class. Minimize using sweets.
- Reduce or eliminate time watching TV, listening to the radio and reading newspaper.
- Meditate for half an hour each day for at least a week using a style you know or simply spend this time in silence.
- Release all anger, fear, jealousy, hate, worry, etc. up to the light. Create a sacred space within and around you.
Registration is required at least 7 days before the class date.

- Byosen Scanning: Using the sensitivity in the hands to locate areas needing healing, (usually in the aura) and to treat them
- Reiji-Ho: Using inner guidance to know how and where to treat
- Kenyoku: Dry bathing, a method to purify your energy field
- Send Reiki at a distance
- Reiki II symbols: How to draw, activate and use them. Their many uses are explained and their inner meaning is discussed. Practice time is given so students know from experience how the energy of each symbols feels and the results each symbol produces
