In 2002, Lepeng discovered a deep affinity for yoga, a practice that became her guiding light during challenging life circumstances. Drawn from the wisdom of renowned yoga instructors, her journey led her to become a yoga teacher in 2011, following her training in the serene landscapes of Hawaii. Over the past six years, Lepeng has devoted herself to the ancient discipline of Qigong, immersing herself in the intricate currents of energy within her own body. Complementing her teaching, she artfully incorporates dynamic movements and breath work techniques into her classes.

Weekly Movement Classes

The Qi Flow class (90 minutes) Mondays & Thursdays

The Qi-Flow class draws its inspiration from both traditional Qigong and Yoga practices, as well as Lepeng’s personal exploration of dynamic movements designed to harmonize the body with a potent flow of energy. Our journey commences with a sequence of gentle yoga postures, carefully selected to nurture flexibility and bolster physical strength. From there, we transition into an invigorating and enjoyable series of movements that enhance the circulation of Qi, the vital life force energy.

The art of Qigong, integral to our practice, unlocks energy pathways, known as meridians, while guiding participants into a meditative state of mind. It is within this tranquil yet alert state that individuals often find themselves releasing pent-up energies and buried emotions, as well as receiving newfound inspirations.

* Qigong is a practice (originated from ancient China) that allows us to experience and utilize a subtle energy called Qi or Prana. When Qi is abundant within us, we feel physically strong, emotionally balanced and guided by inner clarity and vision. We can taste freedom.

Qi-Flow Trance Dance (90 minutes) Fridays

This Qi-Flow Trance dance class, provides a communal space for like-minded individuals to share in the collective energy and elevate their spirits. The music serves as a conduit, unlocking a spectrum of emotions and fostering a sense of unity among participants. The class starts with 20-minutes guided dynamic warm-up movements inspired by traditional Qigong practice. Then participants move into trance dance guided by their physical and emotional states of the moment.

Trance dance is a captivating and immersive form of dance that transcends traditional boundaries, fusing rhythmic movements with inspiring music. It is more than just a physical expression; it’s a holistic experience that engages the mind, body, and spirit in a synchronized flow. The music serves as a guide, leading dancers into a meditative and introspective journey. The dance movements are spontaneous and free-form. The focus is on the internal experience, promoting self-discovery and emotional release. The dance floor becomes a sacred space where participants connect with the energy of the music, the collective vibe, and their inner selves.  It offers a means of stress relief, self-expression, and a pathway to altered states of consciousness.

“Lepeng is amazing. I have been doing Qi Gong with Lepeng twice a week for a few months. I have far better results than five months of physical therapy. She is patient and intuitive. My mind and my body have healed better than I could have imagined”

— Danny W

“I have participated in Lepeng’s Qi Gong, Stick Movement & Yoga class for approximately a year now. I came to her class after my open heart surgery with the desire to resume my yoga and Qi Gong practice in a group setting. Lepeng is a gifted teacher who creates a safe environment for each student to move, breathe and explore their own bodies while she leads the class forward.  The classes fit the abilities of different ages and physical abilities in a non-competitive flow.  As my recovery proceeded, there was and continues to be a safe path for me to improve and expand. Lepeng and her teaching have added to my daily life quality both physically and mentally. When I look around the class at the faces of the other students, I realize that I am not the only one who has this reaction. We all seem happy to be there.”

“Even though I’ve gone to many wonderful yoga instructors in Los Angeles, I feel truly fortunate to have come across Lepeng.  She has such a calming, centered presence that I always leave her classes feeling healed and rejuvenated.  Even attending one class a week makes such a huge difference in my connection of mind, body, and spirit. It does not surprise me to see that she is a reiki therapist.  She has the ability to create a truly healing environment.  She is always tuned into the class, and seems to be really aware of what her students need or maybe just aware of what everyone needs.  She has a subtle way of guiding the class with a soothing voice. She doesn’t waste words as she allows you to check in with yourself.  On occasion, towards the end of class, it’s like she knows everyone is feeling happy, and she’ll say “…maybe put a smile on your face”:)  Her gentle humor combined with a focused yoga practice leave me feeling stronger, happier and healthier. “
